Supporting 262 Young Hearts

In a society where some young lives drift aimlessly amidst the struggles and tears of their parents, we stepped in to provide strength to the hearts and pens to the hands of 262 innocent children. These are students who have faced such hardship that they often have no tears left to cry; our goal was to make their lives rich with smiles by providing the school books and equipment they required.

The Foundation of Education

Education is the first chapter in a child’s book of victory. Understanding the vital need to provide the “letters” for that chapter and ensuring they are written correctly, “Human Heart”—through its “Athwaruwa” project—launched this distribution. Through Facebook and other social media networks, we sought financial and material aid. We must remember the profound kindness of those whose hearts were moved to contribute. Thanks to their support, we were able to provide every item requested by the students without any shortage.

A Message of Hope

With the strength of these beautiful hands bound by heartfelt humanity, the “living letters of hope” for Sri Lanka’s future generation are being written correctly today.

A drop of dew on a blade of grass shines brilliantly when the sunlight hits it. Similarly, there are many “flowers” blooming in the wild whose scent might fade before they ever fully blossom. As fellow human beings, how can we look away? If we have the power to help that fragrance spread far and wide, we must fulfill that duty together.

This single school and zone were just the beginning—neither the start nor the end of our mission. It was simply one day in the fulfillment of our supreme duty. We offer our heartfelt thanks and congratulations to every individual and group who embraced this cause with love and humanity, contributing even a single rupee, a pen, a pencil, or a kind word to make this program a success.
